Mantalai lake trek to the ‘ignominious’, malana village-
Malana Trek is the most popular as well as one of the shortest journeys around Kasol. It takes only 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the ignominious Malana vill from Malana Gate. A vill has a world of its own. Some strange rules of this vill will surprise you. The residents of Malana claim to be the descendants of the dogface of Alexander the great. You can not touch anything in the vill, nor can you touch its occupants, For breaking this rule, you’ll have to pay a heavy forfeiture of 3000 rupees. The main deity of Jammu Devta who’s the supreme of the village. And no decision can be taken without their authorization.

This is one of the easy journeys in Kasol. I wouldn’t indeed ask to journey it. Because it’s a short ride to the lower crowded village of Chalal. And one of the easiest touring routes in Kasol. Kutla is a small village near Tosh. It offers an excellent view of the snow- limited mountains and is a must-visit journey around Kasol. It’s just 2 hours down from Tosh village. The trail is well pronounced so if one wants to do it alone it shouldn’t be a problem. Additionally, the trail sees a lot of traffic during peak season, making it less likely that you would stray from the path.. But in case of any distinction, it’s better to ask the original people. However, make sure you get the proper gear to do it If you’re going to do it during the downtime and hire a companion as the difficulty increases significantly if there’s a lot of snow on the trail.
6. Journey a little further to Buddhaban campground-
Budhban Kutla is only half an hour’s walk from the vill. Budhban serves as the base for numerous other journeys like Animal Pass Trek, Spiti Trek, etc. The road from Kuta to Bhurban is a bit steep for about a kilometer. However, also this place is covered with ease, If you’re touring Kutla.
